John Fraser (153), was a Yeoman Warder here at the Tower of London from, 8 July 1902 to 25 October 1947 (44.5 Years)

John was born, 7 January 1860, he enlisted into the 5 Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers, his brother Sandy also served in the 5 Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers.

On discharge, he had reached the rank of Serjeant Major.  He became a Yeoman Warder on the 8 July 1902 replacing YW Marrie (101), he became the Yeoman Gaoler 1 March 1933 and moved into No. 5 Tower Green.

He was moved to the supernumery list 16 January 1947 and was replaced by YW Davidson (236).

He passed away 21 October 1947 at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
