The only medal not accounted for

Missing is the Delhi Durbar Medal; but our early archivist often omitted which was not, a medals in the true sense – After a yeoman career of thirty five years and six months, he died in No. 8 Tower Green on 4th January 1948.

The old record book showed his Burial Service in St. Peter’s at 2 p.m. on 21st January 1948 but as his burial as such is not entered into the Burial Register, the ‘burial’ alluded to was probably a short service of remembrance before the hearse carried his body away from the Tower for burial elsewhere.
