John Fallis was a Yeoman Warder from: 10 October 1860 to his death on the 4 July 1902 replacing a John Stuart.

He was born in 1827 in Corfu, Greece, and enlisted into the 32nd (The Cornwall) Regiment of Foot
Which in 1881 became the Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry DCLI
Served with the Regiment in Canada on return 18 Sep 1841 embarked to Bengal 31 May 1846
his army number 1327
He was discharged on the Discharged: 1860

He had the following medals

    a. clasp North West Frontier (Rinizai Shakot      and Dargai Expedition 11 and 22nd March,1852)

    a. Defence of Lucknow
He was entitled to the 1897 Royal Commemorative Medal, which like a number of other Yeoman Warders for an unknown reason he did not wear.

He married Elizabeth born 1837 in the British East Indies although a British citizen, she passed away 13 Jul 1882 age 45, they lived in No. 7 The Parade

John Fallis Died: 4th July 1902 (From Grave Stone) Whitechapel, and is buried with his wife Elizabeth in West Ham cemetery grave ref: SE/I/40, he was replaced by William Robinson 152
John was disabled by Wounds he received on the 27 September 1857, and was very photographed Yeoman Warder.
