Wellington White was a Yeoman Warder at the Tower from the 23rd June 1852 replacing John Bent (40) , to 14th December 1895, when he was dismissed the from the body of the Yeoman Warders having been appointed Quartermaster of the Tower Hamlets Militia, and then was succeeded by William Ray (67)
Wellington was born 1812 in Templemore, Tipperary, and enlisted, 17th December 1830 into the 50th Foot (Queen’s Own) Regiment of Foot), No. 758. Discharged 14 December 1852 (served 21 Years 6 Months). He became a Yeoman Warder 23 June 1852, he had the following medals

- Meritorious Service Medal with £20 annuity awarded 19 Jan, 1848
- Punniar Star 1843 (the only Yeoman Warder to be awarded this)

Family: Wife Ann White, born 1823 Kildare, Ireland, and died aged at the Tower 16th November, 1852, and buried in the Tower.
