Thomas Rowley (39) was aYeoman Warder at the Tower, from 1 March 1845, replacing Samuel Oakes (23), to his death in the Tower, in January 1847, when he was replaced by John Hayward (41).
He was born in 1798 at Marnsell Lacy, Herefordshire. He enlisted into the The 1st Life Guards, on the 29 January 1820 and served 25 years in the UK from 1819 until his discharged 15 February 1845, as a Troop Corporal Major – The 1st Life Guards. Army No. 163.
When he became a Yeoman Warder he had the Victorian LONG SERVICE & GOOD CONDUCT Medal (LS&GC).
