Robert Hall was a Yeoman Warder here at the Tower of London from 1st October 1917(aged 44) to 1st June 1939
Robert was born, 16 February 1874 in Yarmouth Hampshire.
He enlisted into the Coldstream Guards on the 10 June 1893 (aged 19) and was discharged 9 October 1917 (age 43), his army number was 9483.
He had reached the rank of Warrant Officer Class II (WOII) , and would have controlled the Coldstream Guards stores, as the Regimental Quarter Master Sergeant (RQMS).
He became a Yeoman Warder on the 1st October 1917 replacing Thomas Blamiers 112, to 1 June 1939 and he was replaced by Yeoman Warder Allan Griffin 221.

He saw a lot of action in South Africa
He had the 1914 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal which means he was part of the British Army sent to defend Belgium in WW1, he was part of the British Expeditionary Force 1914 an “Old Contemptible”.
He had a Silver War Badge number 134688 issued 15 October 1917.
