Joseph Jackson (05), was a Yeoman Warder at the Tower from 27th October 1830 to his death 7th February 1841.

Joseph Jackson was born on 23 February 1803 in Birmingham, Warwickshire. He enlisted 20th March 1820 into the Grenadier Guards.  Discharged 1827

He had no medals

He became a Yeoman Warder 27th October 1830, replacing Robert Carter.

16th Dec was discharged from the army “having been appointed a Yeoman Warder on the recommendation of the Duke of Wellington in consideration of his firm conduct in stopping a mob in Downing Street on the morning of the 9th Dec.

He died on 7 February 1841 in Chatham, Kent, at the age of 37, and was buried there.

He was replaced by William May (No. 26)
